Kinnickinnic

Most Southern Interior Native groups smoked Kinnickinnic, except Carrier and other Northern Athabascan peoples. The leaves were boiled to make tea. Kinnickinnic was used for number of things including a decoction of the stems and leaves that was used as a medicine, the berries were also fried in salmon or bear fat, or boiled in soups.
